A friend of mine has been trying desperately to try to find a Genuine Native American Dream Catcher but with no success. She told me that a Genuine Native American Dream Catcher is something that is made by native Americans using feathers and sinew and it is hung in children`s bedrooms to stop them having bad dreams at night. My friend is adamant that only a Genuine Native American Dream Catcher will do for her but she is having real trouble sifting through the mass produced copies that are available commercially to try to find the real thing. I said that perhaps she should give up on the idea as it seems that short of going to America to source one, that she is going to have a big problem. She will not hear of it however, and said that she will definitely find a real one if she looks hard enough. I wish her luck in her quest and hope she will not be disappointed. I do understand why she wants one so much though. When she explained the concept of them to me I thought it was really touching and think it would be a really lovely thing to have in my home as well.
